Nicole Newman

As a curious and sensitive person, Nicole always felt at home in the birthing world. After her beginnings as a doula in 2013, there wasn't much that could tame her desire to support birthing folks in different and dynamic ways- to acknowledge the beauty in their strengths and softness, and to empower them as they start their transformations into one of the most important roles of their lives. Each and every birth, every pregnancy and baby moment, experiencing the value of connection, has been one of the greatest enjoyments in Nicole's life.

When not supporting Lovewell, Nicole is usually home, sipping tea and writing, and sharing her life with her better half and 2 radical kidlets, along with the occasional pilates class. She also really enjoys writing about herself in the third person.

Stephany Borthwick

Stephany is a mother of two beautiful girls, a nurturer and a lover of all things birth, postpartum and parenthood. Throughout her own postpartum journey as a young mom, she felt the impact and importance of having a positive village. From there, Stephany discovered that she wanted nothing more than to be that vessel of support for pregnant and labouring humans in her community. She came together with the Lovewell partners to create a safe space where expectant folks and parents would feel cared for, supported and respected - all under one roof.
Aside from her Partnership at Lovewell and her work as Lovewell Shop Manager and Branding and Marketing, Stephany can be found loving up on her supportive husband, gently parenting her two little girls and indulging in vegan food.

Carlie Pitka

Born and raised in Sarnia, ON, Carlie has always had a special interest in pregnancy, birth, and newborns. She graduated from Lambton College's two-year Advanced Massage Therapy Program in class of 2011. Having the opportunity to attend a cousin's birth, her massage skills came in handy. She started putting more effort into promoting prenatal and labour massage, and after a couple birth experiences she quickly realized this was her "sweet spot."

Carlie discovered becoming a Doula was the perfect fit; her doula journey began early 2015. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Doula Training Canada. With further research and experience, Carlie also specializes in latching and positioning for Breastfeeding and offers Breastfeeding Support services within her scope as a Doula.

Aside from her Partnership at Lovewell, and her Doula and RMT work, Carlie is a mother of 4. She loves the outdoors, sports, boardgames, and ice cream!

Tory-Rose George

Tory-Rose is a blessed wife and mother of 2 beautiful girls, Charlotte and Stella (3 including her puppy Betty). Tory is a Law Clerk for a community organization, as well as Registered Yoga Teacher and Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. and has been teaching yoga within the community of Sarnia-Lambton since 2014, teaching many different styles of yoga with a number of community groups and studios. Although versatile in her knowledge and skills, Tory's passion has always been in Yoga for Family Health. Tory has been teaching Children and Youth classes within community support groups/organizations for years and is currently working on her 95 hr Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (with a trauma informed focus) certification.

For Tory, motherhood and yoga have always been closely intertwined; completing her initial yoga teacher training while pregnant with her first daughter, Charlotte, in 2015 and her pre/postnatal yoga training while on maternity leave with her second daughter, Stella. For Tory, one of the most beautiful experiences has been to have her children by her side as she leads her students (whether in utero or on the mat). This is where the passion for pre/postnatal yoga has stemmed and has become the main focus in her community offerings. It is Tory's mission to support families in the community by introducing them to the ancient traditions and guiding principles of yoga as they move towards a journey of healing with a hope to build a sense of community along the way.

When not on the mat, you can find Tory busy planning and organizing Lovewell events, classes and workshops and spending time on our beautiful blue coast with her family.
