YOGA

Prenatal Series - IN STUDIO - $120

Mamas in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters will be introduced to safe, comfortable and effective yoga asana (posture) and pranayama (breath/energy work) in an effort to find peace and stillness in the breath and stabilize and strengthen the deeper layers of the ever changing prenatal bodies.

 

Mamas will deepen their connection with baby and the self through the exploration of new and exciting yoga principles such as the Doshas, elements and Chakras.

 

The goal is for participants to complete the series equipped with the tools and knowledge important for creating a more focused and connected birthing experience.

 

In accordance with recommended health and protective measures, props will not be provided or permitted in class. But not to worry, classes will be creatively modified to make up for the lack of props.

 

Students will be required to bring their own yoga mat. Masks will be required.

Postnatal Series - OUTSIDE - $120

 

A series to support new mamas through a multitude of emotional and physical postpartum challenges.

 

Throughout this series mamas will not only enjoy an experience of bonding with baby through interactive song, baby massage, and mommy/baby asana (yoga poses), they will also explore tools for personal growth and healing, with a goal of achieving balance.

 

Through the use of pranayama (breath work), meditation and journaling, mamas will be held in a safe place to be vulnerable and remain in tune with the SELF.

 

Physically, yoga asana will be introduced in an effort to regain strength and control of the abdomen and pelvic floor muscles as well as prepare the body for the added weight, twisting, bending and balancing required in caring for baby.

 

Recommend Props

- Large picnic style blanket to create your practice space and keep personal items off the ground

- Yoga mat for practice

- Yoga block

- Yoga strap (alternative: bathrobe belt, cloth belt, tie)

- items for baby, including toys, diaper bag, blanket for baby to lay on/cover up with

 

*Please arrive prior to class with enough time prepare your space

Prenatal Partners Yoga Workshop - IN STUDIO - $120 per couple

Through the use of unique and exciting yoga principles, partners will learn how they can use these tools to support eachother through the stages of prenatal, labour, delivery and postnatal.

 

Partners will explore how yoga asana (posture) and pranayama (breath/energy work) can be used to not only build trust but also to break through barriers, creating a safe, secure and peaceful environment to birth in.

 

In accordance with recommended health and protective measures, props will not be provided or permitted in class. But not to worry, classes will be creatively modified to make up for the lack of props.

 

Students will be required to bring their own yoga mat. Masks will be required
